Legends never die

Iconic fashion designer Yves Saint Laurent died of brain cancer this weekend at the early age of 71. An inspiration to all of us, he began his career at the age of 17 working for Christian Dior. YSL then began it's legend in the 1960s. Thank you for over 25 years of outstanding fashion. R.I.P.

very true; he went widely unknown, a sort of undercover genius for a long time.

that's interesting that you guys say that....In the fashion world YSL is highly known, considered one of the most influential. All true high fashionistas arent true if they didnt know him. Plus all fashion majors have learned of his great success....he was defitnitly no undercover genius...just a genius...he may not have been as mainstream as Gucci or Prada....but he was the ma' fuckin man.

peace yal

Indeed! I'm just saying Ye' brought it to a broader audience, & you're right. A close female companion of mine who attended F.I.T. wouldn't shut up about this man, praising him on all aspects, till I actually gave in and listened.
