Katy Perry "Thinking of You" teasers!
Look what I found! Two teasers for Katy's new video, "Thinking of You". It looks as though the video was directed as if it were a short film--which I love! It's obviously very 40s/50s-esque, which is so perfect for her. I can't wait to see the completed project!

Mariah Carey: Right to Dream
"Right to Dream" is off of the soundtrack to the movie Tennesee, which Mariah also stars in, premiering in select theatres March 2009. This song isn't too bad- very inspiring. Dream people- DREAM!
Movie synopsis: Carter (Adam Rothenberg) and his younger brother Ellis (Ethan Peck) embark on a journey from New Mexico to Tennessee to find their estranged father — a trip which might hold Ellis’s life in the balance. Along the way they meet Krystal (Mariah Carey), an aspiring singer who flees her controlling husband (Lance Reddick) to join them on their journey.. (source)

Valentine Dunks '09
Nike released their Valentine Dunks to celebrate this February, available at Finishline. They made some major improvements from the past years.
First off- High top was a smart choice Nike! The color-placement is beautiful, the black laces complete the whole sneaker, and the tick-tack-toe-football-play design is sick- appropriate for all times of the year.

Common: Universal Mind Control
"They say he's erratical, he dont fit the game-
A heart full of glory, and a fist full of pain"
-Common, Gladiator lyrics
Today, we have a new introduction for Common. Universal Mind Control came a long way from his ambience synths on Be. Common has arrived at the future. The beats are out of this world, his flow has remained poetry/rap, and every track has something to offer. Although, Universal Mind Control won't go down in history as a(nother) Common classic. Overall, the CD is worth the buy. You cannot sleep on the beats, his lyrics are still A+, and the featured artists present more reasons to press play, again and again. (Read more...)

Common featured a lot of serious talent in his collaborations. Cee-Lo is featured on "Make my Day," this collab is long overdue, and highly contagious. Muhsinah (also featured on Foreign Exchange's Leave It All Behind) brings the perfect, harmonious, sweet vocals to Common's track "Changes." Pharrell's newest addition to Star Trak Chester French were a great addition to "What A World." Martina Topley-Bird is one of the UK's top unique pop artist. Her futuristic yet vintage sound can be compared to Janelle Monáe's, but don't limit her to that. A perfect collaboration with Common for "Everywhere".
May we suggest:
Punch Drunk Love, Make My Day, Gladiator, What a World, Everywhere
Tracklisting:
01. Universal Mind Control
02. Punch Drunk Love (Feat. Kanye West)
03. Make My Day (Feat. Cee-Lo Green)
04. Sex 4 Sugar
05. Announcement (Feat. Pharrell Williams)
06. Gladiator
07. Changes (Feat. Muhsinah)
08. Inhale
09. What a World (Feat. Chester French)
10. Everywhere (Feat. Martina Topley-Bird)

"The Spirit" comic description:
The Spirit chronicled the adventures of a masked crime-fighter who fought crime with the blessing of the city's police commissioner Dolan, an old friend. Despite the Spirit's origin as a detective named Denny Colt, his real identity was virtually unmentioned again and for all intents and purposes he was simply "The Spirit". The stories ranged through a wide variety of styles, from straightforward crime drama and noir to lighthearted adventure, from mystery and horror to comedy and love stories, often with hybrid elements that twisted genre and expectations. Our Seven Chakra's
Chakras are centers of energy, located on the midline of the body. There are seven of them, and they govern our psychological properties. The chakras located on the lower part of our body are our instinctual side, the highest ones our mental side. (Read more...)
Many people (including Asian, Indian, and Western cultures) follow the Chakra philosophical beliefs. Chakra's reflect the connection of our body, spirit, and our positive and negative energy. Some followers believe that Chakra's are controlled by "endocrine glands and our lymphatic system by feeding in good bio-energies and disposing of unwanted bio-energies." (source) Chakra's hold the power to connect your body and mind. Those who learn to open and control their Chakra's embrace wisdom, peace and an understanding of life.
Our seven Chakra's include (from lowest to highest): Root, Sacral, Naval, Heart, Throat, Third-Eye, Crown

Chakra info below courtesy of EclecticEnergies.com
1 - Root chakra
The Root chakra is about being physically there and feeling at home in situations. If it is open, you feel grounded, stable and secure. You don't unnecessarily distrust people. You feel present in the here and now and connected to your physical body. You feel you have sufficient territory.
If you tend to be fearful or nervous, your Root chakra is probably under-active. You'd easily feel unwelcome.
If this chakra is over-active, you may be very materialistic and greedy. You're probably obsessed with being secure and resist change.
2 - Sacral chakra
The Sacral chakra is about feeling and sexuality. When it is open, your feelings flow freely, and are expressed without you being over-emotional. You are open to intimacy and you can be passionate and lively. You have no problems dealing with your sexuality.
If you tend to be stiff and unemotional or have a "poker face," the Sacral chakra is under-active. You're not very open to people.
If this chakra is over-active, you tend to be emotional all the time. You'll feel emotionally attached to people and you can be very sexual.
3 - Navel chakra
The Navel chakra is about asserting yourself in a group. When it is open, you feel in control and you have sufficient self esteem.
When the Navel chakra is under-active, you tend to be passive and indecisive. You're probably timid and don't get what you want.
If this chakra is over-active, you are domineering and probably even aggressive.
4 - Heart chakra
The Heart chakra is about love, kindness and affection. When it is open, you are compassionate and friendly, and you work at harmonious relationships.
When your Heart chakra is under-active, you are cold and distant.
If this chakra is over-active, you are suffocating people with your love and your love probably has quite selfish reasons.
5 - Throat chakra
The Throat chakra is about self-expression and talking. When it is open, you have no problems expressing yourself, and you might be doing so as an artist.
When this chakra is under-active, you tend not to speak much, and you probably are introverted and shy. Not speaking the truth may block this chakra.
If this chakra is over-active, you tend to speak too much, usually to domineer and keep people at a distance. You're a bad listener if this is the case.
6 - Third Eye chakra
The Third Eye chakra is about insight and visualization. When it is open, you have a good intuition. You may tend to fantasize.
If it is under-active, you're not very good at thinking for yourself, and you may tend to rely on authorities. You may be rigid in your thinking, relying on beliefs too much. You might even get confused easily.
If this chakra is over-active, you may live in a world of fantasy too much. In excessive cases halucinations are possible.
7 - Crown chakra
The Crown chakra is about wisdom and being one with the world. When this chakra is open, you are unprejudiced and quite aware of the world and yourself.
If it is under-active, you're not very aware of spirituality. You're probably quite rigid in your thinking.
If this chakra is over-active, you are probably intellectualizing things too much. You may be addicted to spirituality and are probably ignoring your bodily needs.

21-7 Weekly Poll:
LIAR LIAR Pants On Fire!
This week we asked you guys if you lie46% said "Yeah, I'm a liar"
38% said "Just as much as anyone else"
and 15% said "Not much"
I read a couple surveys that said 83% of young people lie. LOL.
Everybody lies at some time or another. It's especially hard not to lie when you're young, 'cause you're so controlled by so many people, parents, teachers, etc.
But older people lie too. And like Jigga told ya, Men Lie, Women Lie.
But no, lying isn't good, although sometimes necessary, lying should be avoided. But if you're gonna lie, lie right. The key is convincing yourself it's the truth, then you won't fuck up.
Here's a perfectly titled track for this poll:
Lying is the most fun a girl can have without taking her clothes off
Damn right!
