Lombard Street has been called
The World's Crookedest Street, but I read it actually isn't. But it is mad crooked. This street was built around
1922 because it was originally a really steep hill that cars had trouble getting down & it was really dangerous for pedestrians. It's 1/4 mile long, it has
8 sharp turns, so maybe 16 blocks, & it's a one-way street, going down.
It's a crazy tourists attraction. It takes mad long to get down with so much slow traffic, but people come to walk it, watch & even drive down. It has a brick street passing Victorian style mansions & houses. They like it quiet at night.
JUMP to find out what city & state this long ride is in?Can you guess?
San Franscico, California
