New studies state that Americans can expect a WMD (weapons of mass destruction) terror attack, more likely to be biological than nuclear, by the year 2013. Is this another one of those supposed "media scares", designed to keep the public living in fear, or is this the real deal? After the attacks in Mumbai, India over the weekend, its very hard to be so naive as to think it couldn't happen here, again. Experts think that terrorists will gravitate towards biological power rather than nuclear because the information and materials needed for these types of attacks are much easier to obtain. Civilian laboratories that house dangerous pathogens (derived from a Greek word that means "that which produces suffering") are less guarded. Officials also worry that biologists will be more likely to sell their expertise or materials to terrorists than a nuclear scientist.

"The United States should be less concerned that terrorists will become biologists and far more concerned that biologists will become terrorists," the report states.
