Style.com is getting fiesty with their reviews. Writer Meenal Mistry has been keepin' it real with RTW Spring 2009. She's been saying great things, but she's also been pointing out mistakes. However, 3.1 Phillip Lim's ready to wear Spring 2009 is brilliant. I completely understand why she would say it wasn't cohesive. The collection did jump around a lot but I saw many elements that tied them together. First off, Those Christian Louboutins are beauuutiful.
The 1st look was perfect. The assymetrical vest was clearly the statement piece, adding the big pants that slim down, peep toes, & structered white shirt. I dont normally fucks with braided belts (tho some thin ones can work), but the contrast of the black & white weaving thru eachother, fit right in. Look 19 is stunning. Look 30, whoa! That was an amazing look. And 32's illusion is crazy. The entire line was a pretty, tough girl. The blazers, the ruffles. All perfectly pretty.
