Word.

"Truth is a pathless land. Man cannot come to it through any organization, through any creed, through any dogma, priest or ritual, nor through any philosophic knowledge or psychological technique. He has to find it through the mirror of relationship, through the understanding of the contents of his own mind, through observation and not through intellectual analysis or introspective dissection. Man has built in himself images as a fence of security - religious, political, personal. These manifest as symbols, ideas, beliefs. The burden of these images dominates man's thinking, his relationships and his daily life. These images are the causes of our problems for they divide man from man. His perception of life is shaped by the concepts already established in his mind. The content of his consciousness is his entire existence. This content is common to all humanity. The individuality is the name, the form and superficial culture he acquires from tradition and environment. The uniqueness of man does not lie in the superficial but in complete freedom from the content of his consciousness, which is common to all mankind."

oh elleeeee! you are allowing those manifestations & symbols stop you from completely feeling the message!!

put more simply: truth is pathless land.. we cannot have pre-determining influences that shelter or discriminate, ultimately stopping us from finding the truth. Accept everything as is, without agreeing or disagreeing.. but simply taking it in!!

"[one's] perception of life is shaped by the concepts already established in his mind. The content of [ones] consciousness is his entire existence."

i agree with all that. i am a huge believer in the sub-conscious and that ur consciousness is ur entire existence is unarguable. but i do not consider my religion a burden. not in the slightest bit. 2 suggest other wise is an insult to one's belief. it talks here about relationships in life. Having a relationship with God may not be a way to truth for all people but it is a way for many. And it is indeed a real relationship. the cause of problems isnt ideas, beliefs, or symbols, we do not exist without that (mentally, not physically i mean). the problem with beliefs symbols & ideas is the way different ppl interpret them. The path to truth can not be written in a paragraph. we all have different truths. i believe that the way we find them is different as well.
this would probably make a good hell yaw hell naw

Your focusing too much on that one part of "religion". it is not saying that ALL religion, politics or personal life is a burden, but for people who live by that strictly and shit on anything else that strays from it... using it as "a fence of security." keeping in their little box.

and it mentions that you have to find truth through the mirror of Relationship; meaning with any relationship.. human, animal, a tree, god. They are saying that you shouldn't dissect at your relationships and deem things RIGHT or WRONG, BUT to OBSERVE and TAKE IT IN as a learning experience on your journey to your individual Truth. and you're right evryone has a different truth, thats exactly what they said, it's a pathless land. there is no one way to find it. it is different always
