This is severely depressing. Gawker reported that Radar mag is folding...for the second time! I was planning on calling/writing to/harassing everyone at Radar this Monday for a spring internship. What happened? Why does such an amazing magazine continue to succumb to such tragic fates? If you aren't familiar with the mag, you basically suck. It is an amazingly funny, political, social and pop culture outlet--the only other magazine [aside from 21-7 and Missbehave] that I'm grossly obsessed with. I'm crying on the inside. Rumors say that the website (the best of its kind) may still continue operation despite the magazines fiery death. I'm counting on Maer Rashan to bounce back from this. Third (or is it fourth?) times the charm, right?
R.I.P. again, Radar Magazine.

UPDATES:
--More details about the closing (final!) of Radar Mag:
American Media bought the website, btw, which will be run by National Enquirer editor David Perel. Are we okay with this?! Some say that the magazine continued to fail due to its general interest subject--basically because it had no real specific niche market--and was not of any use to advertisers, which means they make no $$$, which means they can't fund the needs of the magazines or cater to the wants of its readers, which means the magazine dies. Boohoo.
