I am a HUGE fan of Phonte. Little Brother, The Foreign Exchange--rapping, singing, entertaining (have you seen him perform? he's a CLOWN, it's so much fun!) This track, Steppin' Out 2008 is a cover of Joe Jackson's original version, circa 1982. It's found on the small EP, Zo! and Tiggalo Love the 80's. Phonte teamed up with producer Zo! earlier this year to create some more magic for the fans. It's full of disco-esque, synthesizer heavy, smooth tracks with some great vocals, all very fun to listen to and perfect if you love to just let go and totally vibe out. Music is such a beautiful outlet--I get super excited about it, especially the multi-talented Phonte. Love this man!
On November 15th, Phonte and Nicolay (The Foreign Exchange) will be performing at Highline Ballroom , located at 431 W 16th St btwn 9th & 10th Ave (I saw Little Brother here last year--it's small and intimate, the perfect setting!) at 7pm, featuring special guest Yahzarah! DO NOT MISS THIS SHOW! The Foreign Exchange's second studio album, Leave It All Behind dropped a few weeks ago and trust--it's one of the most amazing pieces of work, ever. This show will be incredible! So go! And if you see me, say hi because I'll definitely be there!
Tickets are only $18! Buy them here.

You won't be disappointed, I promise. If you don't like LB/TFE/Phonte in general, I'll take you out to dinner. Maybe. But probabley not because if you DON'T like it, then chances are you're probabley pretty wack and wouldn't make for good munchin' conversation. Read Sex's review of LIAB here.
