Priest scandal at STJ

In perhaps the most typical and shocking event of my college career, a priest (typical) from my campus (St. John's University, Queens) was arrested last week after he sent at least 2 pornographic emails to who he thought was a 13 year old boy. The "boy" was actually a Colorado police detective posing online as a teen to catch online predators in an internet sting. Charles Plock, known to students as Father Charlie is a reverend here at STJ dubbed the "cool priest"--he wears a backwards golf hat, is really friendly and always shared his Marlboro ciggies with fellow student smokers--was suspended from his job here at St. John's (his office is located in the building that I lived in freshman year and the clergy apartments on campus are located right next to my apartment complex). He is set to appear in court in November after making bail with the support of fellow priests. The videos are said to have been recorded in his personal bathroom at STJ and pictured the youth pastor masturbating. Father Charlie claims he only sent the videos to consenting adults (through his STJ account, what a dummy).

When will old people realize that the internet is NOT PRIVATE and that EVERYTHING can be traced back to you? OH YEAH--when will old priests stop sending obscene images/videos to boys, underage boys, at that? Yeah, yeah: don't blame the faults of a(n) (increasing) few on an entire religion but for heaven's sake, this is getting ridiculous. And I'm Catholic so I'm allowed to complain, damnit.
