Olympic champs smoke the ganja too! Michael Phelps was caught hitting a bong & the world is in a uproar. He's 23yrs old, let the man live. They were even talkin' shit about him drinking. He's 23, he's a baby...who happens to swim like a dolphin...won 8 Olympic gold medals..and gets high.
Plus he doesn't smoke on a reg, he gets tested, so what's the big deal.
But of course USA Swimming doesn't see it this way. They suspended Phelps from competition for three months. And he's not gonna fuck up his money, so he released this statement;
"I engaged in behavior which was regrettable and demonstrated bad judgment," Phelps said. "I'm 23 years old and despite the successes I've had in the pool, I acted in a youthful and inappropriate way, not in a manner people have come to expect from me. For this, I am sorry. I promise my fans and the public it will not happen again."
man, I wouldn't be surprised if those Swimming officials were puffin' a fatty as we speak.

He's actually gonna lose A LOT of money. Corporations that sponsor him are pulling out left and right- bad PR. I do think people are overreacting a bit, he is only 23 and just because he won all those medals doesnt make him a saint. But it does make sense that they'd be upset...tons a young kids idolize him. He's handling it pretty professionally though, which is promising.
yeah he is handleing it well...but my PR teacher told me 2day that alot of his sponsors & endorsements are staying....they believe he made a mistake...he'll bounce rite bak
